Use a Head-On Shot

Do:

  • Take a head-on shot with the subject centered in the frame for a symmetrical composition.

Don’t:

image alignment wrong

  • Use a photo with an angle or tilt.

Fix:

  • Retake the photo.
  • Edit image orientation in photo editing software before processing.

High Contrast Between Subject and Background

Do:

background contrast good

  • Take photos with clear contrast between the subject and the background.
  • Avoid hard shadows.

Don’t:

background contrast wrong

  • Use a background with similar color to the artwork.

Fix:

use crop tool

  • Use the Crop tool to select only the artwork.
